You can't escape me

It was a dark and stormy night. Emma, a college student, had just arrived at a secluded cabin deep in the woods. She was excited for a weekend of hiking and exploring, but something felt off as soon as she arrived.

The cabin was old and creaky, and Emma couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She decided to explore the cabin to take her mind off her unease. As she was walking through the living room, she noticed a book on the coffee table with a strange symbol on the cover. She opened the book and was immediately drawn in by the strange drawings and ancient text.

As she was reading, she heard a rustling sound outside. She looked out the window and saw a figure in the woods. It was too dark to make out any details, but Emma could feel its eyes on her. She quickly closed the book and tried to shake off the feeling of dread.

As the night went on, Emma's unease only grew. She heard strange noises throughout the cabin, and every time she looked out the window, she could see the figure lurking in the woods. She tried to convince herself that it was just her imagination, but deep down, she knew something was wrong.

As Emma tried to fall asleep, she heard the sound of footsteps in the hallway. She opened her eyes and saw a shadowy figure standing in the doorway. She tried to scream, but no sound came out. The figure approached her and whispered in her ear, "I've been waiting for you."

The next morning, Emma woke up to find the cabin in disarray. The furniture was overturned, and the book with the strange symbol was open on the floor. She quickly packed her things and left the cabin, not looking back.

Over the next few days, Emma couldn't shake the feeling that she was being followed. She saw the shadowy figure everywhere she went, and strange occurrences seemed to follow her. She tried to forget about the cabin and the book, but the more she tried to push it out of her mind, the stronger the feeling of unease grew.

One night, Emma woke up to find the shadowy figure standing at the foot of her bed. She tried to run, but the figure was too fast. It grabbed her and whispered in her ear, "You can't escape me."

Emma woke up the next morning in a cold sweat. She tried to tell herself that it was just a nightmare, but she couldn't shake the feeling that it was all too real. She decided to do some research on the strange symbol from the book.

As she delved deeper into the research, Emma discovered that the symbol was from an ancient cult that worshipped a dark entity. The cult was rumored to have sacrificed dozens of people in the woods surrounding the cabin. Emma's unease turned to terror as she realized that she had unwittingly stumbled into the cult's territory.

The more Emma learned about the cult, the stronger the feeling of being watched became. She knew she had to leave town, but she didn't know how to escape the cult's grasp. As she was packing her things, she heard a knock at the door. When she opened it, she saw the shadowy figure from her dreams.

"You can't escape me," it whispered before lunging at her.

Emma woke up in a hospital room, surrounded by doctors and nurses. She couldn't remember how she got there, but she could still feel the presence of the dark entity. She knew that it was only a matter of time before it found her again.

As Emma recovered, she researched ways to defeat the dark entity. She learned that the cult had performed a ritual to summon the entity, and the only way to defeat it was to perform a counter-ritual.
